Energy Working Group
Why have an Energy Group?
Energy is at the core of the Transition Town movement. Its availability, impact, production, use and abuse are all questions we need to tackle as a community in Lampeter and the wider world. Because of its central nature in the movement, it will not be the only Action Group looking at energy. It is equally relevant for the Housing Group to look at Energy in the home, the Transport Group to look at transportation issues and the Education Group to look at how we involve Transition Llambed in schools and other education initiatives.
What will we be doing?
As a group we will be involved in the production of the Transition Llambed Energy Descent Plan (EDP). Other projects will be defined and developed as the group grows.
Who are we?
We are 'us', anyone from the area who wants to be involved. No qualifications needed, no experience required. All you need is a bit of your own energy to bring to the group.
When do we do what we do?
The group met for the first time in October 2008. We are planning to meet about one evening a month - full details will be listed on the Calendar of the Transition Llambed Forum.
How do you contact / join us?
Either come along to one of the meetings or email Tim Martin at timmartin200@hotmail.com.
