Sustainable Building Working Group
In a nutshell, a sustainable building or home is one that : - uses fewer resources;
- is energy and water efficient;
- generates as little waste as possible;
- costs less to run and maintain;
- is durable and a good investment.
The Sustainable Building Working Group aims to : - Discuss ways of constructing or adapting homes and other buildings to be 'sustainable'
- Devise practical projects that can be easily carried out to contribute to an 'energy descent plan'.
Practical ProjectsIt is hoped that ideas for practical projects will emerge from the discussions. So here is a list of possible topics for discussion at our early meetings. Please feel free to suggest any others! - What is a Zero Carbon Home?
